Global Volume & Value Service updated, plus new features

By Off-Highway Research |  3 April 2018

Off-Highway Research has released the spring 2018 update to its Global Volume & Value Service, which provides data on the size of equipment markets by country and product in both unit (volume) and US Dollar (value terms).

Updates to the data coincide with a string of significant upgrades to the Service. As well as being available in the traditional Excel, PDF and CSV flatfile formats, the Volume & Value Service can now be accessed via Off-Highway Research’s interactive online database system. This allows users to quickly and easily build bespoke searches, more easily access historic data and gain immediate access to any data updates. In addition, this means the Volume & Value Service now seamlessly integrates with Off-Highway Research’s Chinese, Indian and International Database Services.

To access the Volume & Value Service within the database system, log into the Internet Access Service at www.offhighwayresearch.com as usual, and click on the Online Database Service icon. The next screen gives the option of accessing the online system, or downloading the database as an executable (.EXE) piece of software for PCs. This is particularly useful for offline working. There is also a YouTube video available from this page, giving an overview of the system and how to use it.

Once in either the online database or PC download searches can be configured by product, country or year from the pull-down menus in ‘Header 1’ and ‘Header 2’ on the left-hand side of the screen. Further historic data can be accessed in the ‘Filter’ menu, by selecting the desired years. Current searches/view can be downloaded to Excel as a worksheet, or the whole database can be downloaded as a .CSV file. In addition, the traditional multi-tab Excel file for the Volume & Value Service can be downloaded instantly by clicking the ‘V&V’ button.

The online database system is also the gateway to our new Global Volume & Value Service PLUS, which provides breakdowns by up to six size classes for each machine type. Click here for more details.
