COMING SOON: The global excavator industry

In September Off-Highway Research will publish a new edition of its popular Special Report on the global excavator industry. Last published in 2017, the study was the best selling report Off-Highway Research has ever produced, finding interest among equipment manufacturers, component produces and after market participants, among others.

Off- Highway Research managing director Chris Sleight said, “The report covers mini, crawler and wheeled excavators, which together represent almost half the total volume of construction machines sold around the world each year. Almost every OEM in the industry is in this sector in some way because of the universal popularity of excavators.”

Emphasising the depth of analysis available in the report, this year’s study comes in at more than 350 pages long. Sleight said, “We now cover about 35 per cent more countries than we did in 2017. In addition, excavators are much more popular now than they were in the mid-2010s, with the volume sold now about 50 per cent higher than ten years ago, so naturally there is a lot more to write about.”

He continued, “And I would stress that this report was written by humans with an incredible level of knowledge and expertise. Across the team that worked on this there is more than 200 years of combined industry experience. With so much AI slop infesting the Internet these days, I think its important to point out this report was written and researched by some of the industry’s most knowledgeable experts.”

The 2026 edition of the Global Excavator Industry will be published in September. Contact mail@offhighwayresearch.com for more information.
